The Airship Unstable

So, after attending a convention all weekend (WHICH WAS AWESOME!) my dear friend Sheena and I decided that next year we'd really like to enter in as an airship. That means you get to play team games win ribbons and boast for the next year, of course.

We've started a blog, unstablepirates.blogspot.com, and are also on FB and steampunkempire.com. We'll have a twitter eventually. Speaking of twitter, I have one now as well. It's @ashkalexander. I figured it was time. In other news, I'll be submitting to some anthologies soonish. Hoping to get a submission into Mark of the Beast, which is due the first of May, but I had something lying on my hardrive with more than enough potential to work for it, so I'll be polishing it up and sending it on.

Also working on some steampunk stuff. A novel called Rules of Engagement (current title) which looks to break my all time word count record with out breaking a sweat has just hit 60K words at the half-way marker. It's crazy, and I love it. It's been my goal to break the 100K barrier for some time now, and I hope to do that with this one.

In other news, I entered a couple art contests, lost, but I entered them and that's the important thing.

We'll be doing a lot of updating and adding to the airship blog soon. Sheena and I are plotting our costumes for next year already and will most likely register far in advance, but we are actively recruiting other members. That should be fun, as we'll be in competition with Columbus' other airship team, The Airship Archon.

Well, that's it for today, somewhat rambling, do forgive me.
